Introduction

The IP5306 is a multifunctional power management SoC (System on Chip) that integrates a boost converter, lithium battery charging management, and battery level indication, providing a comprehensive power solution for mobile power sources.

With its high level of integration and rich functionality, the IP5306 requires minimal external components in applications, effectively reducing the overall solution size and lowering the Bill of Materials (BOM) cost.

The IP5306 can achieve both step-down and boost functions with just one inductor, supporting low-cost inductors and capacitors. Its synchronous boost system can deliver a maximum output current of 2.4A with a high conversion efficiency of up to 92%. In idle mode, it automatically enters sleep mode, reducing the static current to as low as 100uA.

Utilizing switch charging technology, the IP5306 provides a maximum charging current of 2.1A with a charging efficiency of up to 91%. It incorporates intelligent adjustments for charging current based on IC temperature and input voltage.

The IP5306 supports LED indication of battery level with options for 1, 2, 3, or 4 LEDs. It is packaged in ESOP8.
