Description
D(2, TAB)
This N-channel Zener-protected Power MOSFET
is
designed using ST’s revolutionary avalanche
–
rugged very high voltage MDmesh™ K5
technology, based on an innovative proprietary
vertical structure. The result is a dramatic
reduction in on-resistance, and ultra-low gate
charge for applications which require superior
power density and high efficiency.

The built-in back-to-back Zener diodes have specifically been designed to enhance the
device’s ESD capability. In this respect the Zener voltage is appropriate to achieve an
efficient and cost-effective intervention to protect the device’s integrity. These integrated
Zener diodes thus avoid the usage of external components.
