Introduction

• The TJA1050 is the interface between the Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol controller and the physical bus.
• The part can provide different transmit performance for the bus and different receive performance for the CAN controller.
• The device is the successor to the PCA82C250 high-speed CAN transceiver, which offers important improvements in the following areas: CANH and CANL are ideally matched to reduce electromagnetic emissions to a minimum.
