Type-C 3A 18650 Lithium Battery Boost Charging Module High Power 5V/9V/12V

Introduction

The Type-C 3A 18650 Lithium Battery Charger Module is suitable for non-power failure applications of power failure equipment.External power supply is used when there is power, and automatic seamless switching to battery power supply when there is power failure.

If you are using a USB interface for power supply, we recommend using the Type-C interface. It can pass much larger current compared to the microUSB interface, with a maximum of 5A.

The Module is suitable for routers, cameras, development boards and other equipment. It seamlessly switches to battery power when the main power is cut off, ensuring continuous connection.

Connect the 18650 lithium battery to the welding battery box on the back. You can also wire out to connect other lithium batteries.

UPS-15W can achieve seamless switching between external power supply and battery dual power supply (with no delay), making it suitable for uninterrupted power supply schemes such as low-power DC equipment and meters. Additionally, it can start itself after a power failure and charge itself when power is received.

You can optionally set the output voltage to 5V/9V/12V, and we offer customization for other voltages.

Lithium battery charging, lithium battery protection, boost output, UPS switching four practical functions.

The two-color LED indicates the charging status, and it automatically stops charging when the battery is full, causing it to remain green.

Type-C interface, through large current.

Functional Description

  • UPS function: When the power supply is active, it directly supplies power to the load through the boost circuit and simultaneously charges the lithium battery. If the power is cut off, the system automatically activates the battery path to supply power to the load via the boost circuit.
  • Boost circuit: peak power up to 20W, rated power up to 15W, BOST boost circuit, builtin 12A high current MOS, efficiency up to 96%,module static power consumption 25mA,optional 5V/9V/12V output.(Load normal recommendation <15W. Output 5V Current 3A Output 9V; Current 1.6A Output 12V: Current 1.2A)
  • Lithium battery protection includes overshoot, overdischarge, overtemperature, and overcurrent protection. If the protection state is not output after a misoperation short circuit, the system will automatically connect 5V charging to activate and resume output.

Instructions For Use

  • You can select one of the external power supply ports, which include the USB port and standard 5V+ and 5V-.Tagged USP and UPS-are output interfaces. You can connect a 18650 lithium battery to the back-welded battery box, and you can also connect other 3V lithium batteries.
  • When used as a UPS, install a battery for continuous 5V power, activate real-time output, and enable battery backup during power failure. After tests, disable the output indicator to save over 10mA without affecting circuit function, conserving electricity
  • During operation, the board may enter a protection state and stop outputting due to various reasons (such as incorrect touch or connections). Once you resolve the issue, you can connect the charging port of the board to 5V for charging, and the board will reactivate and resume output after you power it on again.
  • The 5V charging power supply used by individual users uses an output capacitor with a larger capacitance value. This capacitor may discharge even after powering off the supply, leading to a gradual decline in voltage. This delay might prevent the board from swiftly switching to battery power. To address this issue, connect a discharge resistor of around 1K at the 5V input port.
  • If you want to increase the battery capacity of the UPS module, you can use multiple parallel connections, and this will not affect other functions.

Precautions

  • The soldering iron can easily damage MOS and other components on the board through induction or static electricity. Please ensure that the wire used is grounded and properly connected. It is best to wear anti-static gloves for operation.
  • Be careful not to install the battery backwards, otherwise it will burn the plate.
  • Please select sufficient power supply. In order to ensure the normal operation of the board.
  • The board power supply should not be higher than 5V.
  • The board has not been technically confirmed and changed without permission. Our shop is not responsible for technical support and after-sales.
  • It is normal for the module to generate heat when working with high power. It is good to pay attention to fan heat.
